Looking for longer, fuller eyelashes without having to go through a painful application process? Check out what Latisse has to offer!
What is Latisse?
Latisse is a prostaglandin analog, intended to treat hypotrichosis of the eyelashes. Latisse promotes the growth of eyelashes and is used to increase length, thickness, and darkness. It is the first FDA-approved treatment clinically proven to grow eyelashes and is available by prescription.
How does Latisse work?
Latisse is a nightly treatment that you can apply to the base of your upper eyelashes. It contains the ingredient bimatoprost to affect the anagen (growth) phase of the eyelash hair. Bimaroprost is derived from fatty acids and binds to receptors in eyelashes to add growth to the hair follicles. Not only does Latisse increase the length of current eyelash hairs, it also adds more eyelash hairs to the eyelid.
How soon will I see results with Latisse?
You will start to see growth as early as 4 weeks and as late as 16 weeks from the start of the treatment. Most users see an average of 25% growth in eyelash hair.
Is Latisse safe?
Latisse is actually a version of a glaucoma drug, just in eye drop form. It is FDA approved and doctors have noticed a significant difference in eyelash hairs. Talk to your doctor to see if Latisse is right for you.
