What is the vampire facelift?
This cosmetic procedure doesn’t contain artificial ingredients typical within fillers. The main ingredient with this facelift is you guessed it, the patients blood.
The technology used within the vampire facelift is called Selphyl. It is prepared using the patients blood and platelets are then separated from red blood cells, then blended with a fibrin mixture. Afterwhich, the mixture is then injected into the area that a patient wants to correct.
The area of concern is overfilled by 20% so that the patient can see what the approximate final results will be. Over the course of several weeks the fibrin matrix builds up and shows the final result of the procedure.
How long does the vampire facelift last?
The treatment lasts about 15 months.
