What to expect with a Botox Injections procedure?
Before scheduling a local Botox Injection procedure it’s important to remember that healing time will be an important step for perfect results. The experts at Metrolina Medical recommend not scheduling within 2 weeks of a big event, and the week before your appointment, you should avoid aspirin and some other medication such as ibuprofen. The procedure itself only lasts about 20-45 minutes and a mild pinch as the procedure begins is the only thing standing between you and your new improved self!
What do I do immediately following my procedure?
Botox treatments take approximately 1 to 2 weeks to fully take effect, and after your treatment there are just a few things to keep in mind. You should avoid heavy exercise the day of your Botox treatment, and you will need to stay upright for the immediate 4-6 hours following the injection. While you may experience some itchiness it is also important not to massage or otherwise stimulate the area treated with Botox.
